Christmas 2013

It was the year of Skylanders Swapforce. Wow. So many figures and of course the new game as well as this awesome Trobot poster from the guys at Troy Cloth and Paper. This year we spent Christmas Eve at Nonna’s and Papa’s. Santa did find us there and we had a great Christmas morning opening presents and having breakfast. Also as part of our Christmas break we spent one night in Boston at Margot’s house as she was in Sarasota visiting Carol.

3rd Grade

Today was the first day of third grade at Hamagrael elementary. Your teacher the year is Mrs. Sirianni. This special part of this new school year is that it is your first time returning to a school you were at the previous year. You had one year at Phillipi Shores in Sarasota, FL (Kindergarten), one year at Elsmere Elementary in Delmar, NY (1st Grade), and one year at Hamagrael Elementary in Delmar (2nd Grade).

Cub Scouts Camp Out

For the last event of your first year of cub scouts you participated in the camp out at Five Rivers. You and I set up a tent on Saturday afternoon next to Caleb’s tent. We then went to play capture e flag and did a service project that had all of the scouts spreading wood chips on the trail. That night we had dinner and you and your friends old jokes and performed in front of the fire. That night was the one of the worst nights of sleeping I’ve ever had. It was light and the train blew its horn about every hour. At one point I got up to use the bathroom, which was a nearby bush, I noticed that Caleb and his dad had left to go home I sleep in their nice warm beds. Sunday morning we had pancakes for breakfast and picked up the campsite before we headed home. It was a great time for just the two of us.

A Night at the Museum

What an awesome trip. You and I travelled by train from Albany to NYC to spend the night with the cub scouts at the Museum of Natural History. We spent Saturday morning walking around Manhattan. We went to the Muji store to buy markers and sketchbooks, KidRobot to buy some toys, McDonalds for lunch near Time Square, Lego store in Rockefeller Plaza, and Central Park to find a geocache. The museum was great. We had the place to ourselves where we made an origami snake, looked at gems an minerals, saw a real live gray wolf, had snacks, and bought a special scout patch for your uniform.

Happy 8th Birthday

What an awesome birthday party. I mean who wouldn’t want their birthday party at karate dojo and be allowed to cut the birthday cake with a samurai sword. The only way this could be better is if it were at a Jedi dojo and you got to cut he came with a lightsaber.
