Christmas 2013

It was the year of Skylanders Swapforce. Wow. So many figures and of course the new game as well as this awesome Trobot poster from the guys at Troy Cloth and Paper. This year we spent Christmas Eve at Nonna’s and Papa’s. Santa did find us there and we had a great Christmas morning opening presents and having breakfast. Also as part of our Christmas break we spent one night in Boston at Margot’s house as she was in Sarasota visiting Carol.

Happy 8th Birthday

What an awesome birthday party. I mean who wouldn’t want their birthday party at karate dojo and be allowed to cut the birthday cake with a samurai sword. The only way this could be better is if it were at a Jedi dojo and you got to cut he came with a lightsaber.

A Cold Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Nona and Papa’s home in upstate New York. You’ve often talked about playing in the snow so you were excited about going in the hopes that there would be snow on the ground. Unfortunately there was no snow on the ground, but it did snow one afternoon for about 15 minutes. You did get to see the snow, but just not play in it. However, you did get to play with Tilly, Nona and Papa’s Yellow Lab. You had lots of fun throwing frisbees and stick for her to chase in the fenced-in yard along the side of the house. You also really enjoyed breaking the ice on the edge of the pond near the woods on the other side of the property. You also received a Christmas Thanksgiving gift from your grandparents. A Star Wars lego set from the story of “The Empire Strikes Back.” It was a Luke Skywalker Snow Speeder vehicle with accompanying Wampa snow monster. We’re all thankful for Star Wars and legos.

Happy fifth birthday

I can’t believe you’re 5. We celebrated with a repeat of your third birthday. A bouncy house with all your friends from school. That is one of the best $100.00 your Mom and I have ever spent. You and your friends loved it. I could tell by your sweaty head and the smile on your face.

Happy 2010

i just had to write about your latest comment. so the the scene is you are playing with the new sizzlin’ grill toy that you received from mom and dad for Christmas. mom’s making pancakes, i’m writing in tyler’s journal, and tyler is using the toy leaf blower to blow a plastic ball around the house. as i stop to comment on how hard you and your brother are working you respond with oh well there’s lots of work to do in the new year.

you are no doubt the son of kelly mcmurray and chris st.cyr. happy new year jack. work hard. play hard. rest hard.
