swimming lessons

welcome to summer. in preparation for our summer vacation in maine mom decided to sign you up for swimming lessons at the YMCA. by all accounts the first lesson went as expected. you were not that thrilled, but settled into the water after a short time. mom was very impressed with you walking into the pool along a ramp. you’d walk down into the water and then back up the ramp. each time you went a little further into the water until you went all the way up to your chin. well done.

happy 2nd birthday

happy birthday son. seems like just yesterday i was getting up at 1 a.m. to give you milk. oh wait i’m not remembering the old days. that was yesterday. today was a good day. you opened some presents. a truck, a truck, a train, some shirts, and elmo. this weekend grammie and gramps, aunt michele, uncle jason, cousins tanner and ava are coming to visit you for your birthday weekend.

christmas 2006

what a crazy christmas vacation. we went to visit poppops and MA in new york. had a scare with the dogs and stairs. loved the wagon. 80’s rocker billy sheehan made you cry with his elephant sounds. drove by mom’s childhood home. played at a mcdonald’s indoor playground. when we got back to florida we rested for a few days and then went to visit grammie and gramps in ocala. ate too much chocolate. loved the truck. played ball with the cousins. lots of rides in the golf cart.

new school

okay it’s not really school. it’s daycare, but your mom and i like the sound of school. the school is associated with church of the palms here in sarasota. you are definitely learning things there. you came home from your first day there with the sign language sign for “more.” you’re a genius. your classmates are dex, alex, alexis, han, and some others that i’ll have to ask your mom for their names. more to come on that.

sarasota florida

welcome to your new home jack. you’re very own room. your and mom have been here a few days, but your grandpops and i have been driving for the past few days from denver. we’re only 10 minutes from siesta key beach where the sand is soooo soft.
